I’m Cristiana Della Mea
I’ve always seen languages as a bridge rather than a barrier, and diversity as an asset. So I decided to turn my passion and enthusiasm in foreign languages and cultures into my profession.
After my double degree program Esabac at high school, I graduated in translation and interpretation, and soon after I started working as an in-house translator and administrative assistant. But I soon understood that I wasn’t following the right direction.
So, I decided to spend some time abroad, in England, where I lived with a local family and attended English lessons to prepare for the IELTS certification.
After my return back home, I moved to the vibrant city of Bologna, but then the pandemic hit and slightly changed my plans. I started working as a logistics specialist for an import company and attended a post graduate diploma in specialized translation.
In November 2022, I started working as a freelance translator and interpreter, determined to follow my dream. I attended several training courses to keep up to date with the latest business trends and acquire new skills.
At the moment, I’m working as a freelancer, and at the same time I’m attending last year of my MA course in conference interpretation at DIT — Forlì (Bologna).
